The Pat Mattmiller Heart of CDC Award was created in memory of Christine’s father, Pat Mattmiller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and an incredibly special part of Christine’s Dance Company.

Pat’s impact on CDC reached far beyond the studio walls and recital weekends. He was a constant source of encouragement, wisdom, and support. Always willing to offer advice, lend a hand, build something behind the scenes, welcome a family, or simply show up when he was needed.

He believed deeply in hard work, kindness, integrity, generosity, and taking care of the people around you. He didn’t just talk about those values, he lived them. And through his example, they became part of the foundation on which Christine’s Dance Company was built.

Pat helped shape not only CDC, but the community that surrounds it. His presence can still be felt in so much of who we are today and in the kind of place we continually strive for CDC to be.

The Heart of CDC Award honors families who embody that same spirit… families who lead with kindness, show up for others, support the people around them, and help make CDC feel like home.

Each year, one deserving CDC family will be recognized with the Pat Mattmiller Heart of CDC Award at our annual Competitive Showcase and receive a $500 tuition credit as a small token of our appreciation for the difference they make within our CDC community.
