FRONT DESK STAFF!

Position summary

Our studio is currently seeking 2-3 individuals to join our Front Desk team to assist with day-to-day studio operations. This role involves a mix of sales, customer service, and administrative duties. To be successful, candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with both children and their parents.

Daily duties

  • Greet dancers, parents, and customers with a warm, welcoming attitude

  • Maintain a clean and organized lobby area and restrooms

  • Supervise the lobby during classes

  • Answer phones and manage email correspondence

  • Manage customer accounts, including student enrollments and payments

  • Complete retail transactions and assist with sizing students for dancewear (shoes and apparel)

  • Give tours to new dance families

  • Track and maintain retail inventory

  • Assist with all aspects of the costuming process (measuring, ordering, unpacking, steaming, returns, etc.)

  • Provide support with administrative tasks such as printing, data entry, and organizing forms

  • Complete opening and closing procedures as needed

Qualifications + Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail (both written and numerical)

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate policies effectively and resolve customer issues

  • Willingness to assist with light housekeeping duties (a professional custodial team deep cleans at the end of each week)

  • Ability to manage groups of children of all ages

  • Collaborative team player who is adaptable and willing to assist with various tasks

  • Knowledge of studio policies, tuition structure, fees, and retail merchandise

  • Prior experience in receptionist, administrative, customer service, or sales roles is a plus

  • Dance background and previous experience working with children are also beneficial

  • High school diploma required (unless currently in high school); college degree preferred

  • Basic proficiency in Word and Excel, as well as general computer skills
